🏫 A Respectful and Positive Learning Environment

Our Community Guidelines, in conjunction with these Terms of Service and Class Policies, highlight the essential behaviors for fostering a respectful and positive learning environment. Please review the guidelines to understand how you can best contribute to building human connections within IMMERSE.

🧑‍🎓 Age Policy

Currently, our platform is exclusively for individuals aged 18 and over. This policy is strictly enforced because our platform and community features are not designed to protect minors from unwanted adult interactions, nor do we offer classes or curriculum tailored to their interests and learning needs.

By agreeing to our terms of service, you commit to preventing minors from using your account. If a minor is found to be using your account through verbal age verification, they will be promptly removed and your account suspended. To reinstate access, you will need to reconfirm with our support team that you will not permit minors (or anyone else) to use your account.

This policy aims to safeguard minors and prevent undue stress for our adult community. We are primarily a corporate training tool, serving thousands of business learners acquiring languages through their employers. While we value teaching languages to children, we are currently not equipped to do so and appreciate your understanding.

💡 If you are interested in a Young Learner’s Program (e.g., “IMMERSE Junior”), please contact our Support Team at [email protected] to explain how immersive language learning in virtual reality could benefit your child or family.

🤝🚫 Shared Account Policy

At IMMERSE, each learner must have their own individual account and membership. This ensures:

  • A safe, secure learning environment – Your unique login verifies your identity, prevents unauthorized access, and protects everyone from potential misuse.

  • Accurate progress tracking – Your account stores your learning history, feedback, and goals so Guides can give you targeted support.

  • Personalized learning – With your own account, lessons, activities, and resources can be tailored to your needs.

While we encourage you to share your love of IMMERSE with others, they’ll need to create their own account. Sharing your login creates issues such as:

  • Loss of accurate progress – Another person’s activity could mix with yours, making it difficult to measure your learning.

  • Unfair access – Our membership model works when each learner has their own subscription. Sharing bypasses this, which can reduce resources available for all members.

  • Technical problems – Multiple people using the same account can cause performance issues.

  • Privacy risks – Your messages, learning history, and personal data could be seen by someone else.

By keeping your account personal, you help maintain a safe, fair, and high-quality experience for yourself and for the entire IMMERSE community.

⚠️ If account sharing is detected, we may suspend the account until we confirm it is being used only by you.

👤👤 Multiple Account Policy

You only need one IMMERSE account. This single account stores all your language programs, levels, and progress, so you can continue learning without interruption. If your name, email, language, level, or subscription changes, there’s no need to create a new account - just contact our Support Team at [email protected] and we’ll make the updates for you.

Creating multiple accounts can cause problems:

  • Your learning progress becomes split across accounts (and cannot be merged), which can result in losing past data.

  • It makes it harder for our team to track your history, assist with technical issues, and consider your feedback over time.

If we detect multiple accounts in your name, we’ll reach out so you can choose which account to keep. All other accounts will be deactivated to prevent confusion and ensure you have a single, seamless learning experience.

🛑 Repeatedly creating new accounts to bypass paid membership and access multiple free trials is considered misuse and will result in immediate termination of all related accounts and a block on future sign-ups.

⏰ Late Policy

We understand that occasional lateness can occur. However, as class time is limited to 40 minutes, we aim to maximize every moment. Joining late means you might miss critical parts of the lesson. Missing too much content would hinder your effective participation in activities with others. Therefore, to ensure a smooth and focused experience for all, we have established clear time limits for joining.

Unbooked Class (Spontaneous Joining)

If you didn’t book the class ahead of time, you have 5 minutes to join the class before the option disappears from your Homeroom.

Booked Class (Registered in Advanced)

If you booked the class ahead of time, you have 10 minutes from the start of the class to join as a participant.

💡What happens if I don’t make the cut off time?

The Guide will mark you as Late and send you back to your Homeroom to find your next activity.

We are committed to enforcing our policies and encourage all members to stay informed about updates to help protect our learning environment and fellow members.

Violations of our policies will lead to a formal warning and outreach from our team. Unresolved issues may result in account suspension.

If you observe a policy violation, please report it to our support team. Your report will be anonymous, but providing details about the location and the user involved will be helpful.
