How IMMERSE Handles Your Captured Moments

Learn how IMMERSE handles your data when using the Capture feature — what gets saved, where it's stored, and how you stay in control of your captured moments.

IMMERSE never initiates a capture session without you explicitly starting it. There is no background listening and no automatic activation.

No video is ever stored. The camera feed is processed in real time solely to identify language-learning moments. When a relevant moment is detected, IMMERSE saves a single still image capturing that context, nothing before or after it.

Only still images and transcripts are saved. Images are stored on your device. Transcripts are stored on your device and are also processed through a third-party tool we use to maintain quality and safety, described below. When you enable cross-device sync (coming soon), images and transcripts are stored on IMMERSE servers tied to your account.

You control everything that's saved. You can review and delete individual moments from your device at any time. If opted-in to cross-device sync (coming soon), deleting a moment also removes it from your IMMERSE account, and it is fully cleared from our systems immediately.

We don't use your content for anything else. Your images and transcripts are used solely to power your personal learning experience. We don't sell them, or use them to train AI models.

A note on third-party processing. Real-time transcription is powered by a third-party API partner. As part of standard safety and abuse monitoring practices, that partner may retain interaction data for a limited period. For details on how our third-party partners handle data, see our full Privacy Policy.
